Yeah I'm waiting a few more weeks, duck/goose season will be over then I will get dubbing most birds.

That all blue miner pecked me today when I fed him. I could tell he's wanted to for a while. He finally got me today, he's gonna be fairly headstrong I can tell. Been dropping his wing and dancing too lol. Thinks he runs the show.

I fed my Bennett's today letting them eat out of my hand as usual all of a sudden the rooster stole my measuring cup out of my hand and took off running as if he had a cricket. All I could do is bust out laughing, I would've expected that from a youngster but not a two yr old.

I have three game hens that someone gave me. I want to use them for broodies. Any way, two of them have crests. I have not seen any hens with crests pictured on the threads. Is this unusual?
would have to see pics. Could be toppies

Here's a picture of a friends bird it's a half flarry eye grey (where the crest comes from) and half Cowan cross

I will have to take pictures! I am also going to ask the guy I got them from what blood lines the parens are supposed to have come from. I picked up the whole brood of chicks, the hens are wheaten? maybe, the little cockerels were BBR. When I was in ND dogs tore apart their pen and killed all of them but these three little pullets.
