I use copper sulfate as an algacide. Exposure duration or concentration needs to be increased. Algae in water bowls unsightly but does not appear associated with health issues for me.
yup I haven't had any health issues with the algae I was just wondering. Just wondering if it worked to prevent having to scrub out 100 water cups all the time. It's just me like u said "unsightly" it drives me nuts.

With all due respect that is splashed. Spangled is normal coloring with white tips see below
That is a nice looking bird SDM is it one of yours? Are those young splash birds? I just thought they were Spangled with a lot of white...

Nope not one of mine I got that off the net for reference only. Spangled is used to refer to either spangled or splash most often but per definition I would call havocs whitehackle splash cause its closer to splash than the definition of spangled. Some may disagree but that's what makes debates fun! Then there's Pyle which is normal coloring but the base color being white instead of say black. Some think spangled and Pyle are a breed but it's just a coloration

most of these birds gotta go

Why are there leashes on most of these chickens, it doesn't look like someone so walking the. Lol

Because gamefowl will not mix with others of the same sex, unless you have raised a few pullets together, but even then there will be a dominant or boss hen. Then there are cases where some females don't tolorate other females at all. The males will be separated anywhere between 2 to 5 months of age normally

Alright my gamefowl guru online friends I just acquired a 4 year old cock and I believe him to be hatch. Not sure which but when daylight I will post pictures. I also got a 5-7 yr old grey hen tonight not sure her bloodline but she is a gorgeous bird and lays good and hoping to hatch some chicks from her and my grey cross stag.

The hennie line has been crossed in to hatch(blue face) and ruble lines most of all. However like myself cockers have always recognized the superior cutting ability so they are bred into most note worthy lines of gamecocks. The legendary Albanie birds key to cutting is the hennie and hatch bloods. A stolen green legged hatch as I have heard.

If in fact hennie colored I am seeing, then likely from a novel mutation. I have never seen proper hennie colored in these birds but many on male side very slow to come into color.

Crappie problems preventing me from getting pictures.
