Mine has to be a defect but now that I gotta take the dam thing back I'll get a different brand. I almost launched it across the yard. Glad I didn't. Lol
I'll get me a new one this weekend.

Getting a bit a storm from due north. Pens not affected because protected by bamboo and sumac stands. Beehives got rolled across yard to fun to be had in AM. They be feeling not righteous.

Due to my ignorance of beekeeping would it be correct for me to assume that the bees will still be at the boxes whatever happens as long as the queen is there?

And and is it true to plant bamboo my digging a trench and laying it horizontally in the trench cause the new shoots will grow from the nodes?

Whatever happen to the natural flora? Bamboo sure ain't native. Unless you got pandas running around too

Who said I ain't got pandas

Bees will remain in boxes even without queen.

Bamboo I have of two types. One native in bottoms gets to be 12 feet tall. Second exotic gets to be 35 feet and must be tended to keep it in place. Latter makes a very good wind break and can give quality cover from raptors. No pandas here but cattle will eat both if they can get at them. Goats will be used in coming years to control shoots in spring.
