Them round grow out pens are about as wonderfully awesome to keep stags in as it gets to buy time with the ones you absolutely do not want to part with

I made a base for a 4x4 Pen.. But was debating if I should make it red roof like I have already or just do a dome pen...

I have 50ft garden fence, I could just make round pens and save the cost of wood.

I just did some CAD math (way easier than regular math)... I can make 4 - 48" diameter pens with 50ft.

50' x 12 = 600"

600/4 = 150"



But I need to add a roof -- probably use cheaper netting or maybe red roof to make it match

Nice, simple pen. Do you use the 2x4 wire on top too and then just cover it with the tarp?

This storms I had a few days ago had winds recorded in my area in excess of 70 mph and a few places nearby had 85 mph wind gusts. Not sure what sort of staking system would work in that kinda wind.
That's obviously not normal for here but if my area had of gotten hit like they did a few miles away I might not have many birds left.
