Looks similar to the hen... could be related. I'd say some breed of American Game.

They could be Kelsos, they could be a number of breeds. I original breeder would be the only one to know exactly what you have.

I'll take any and all suggestions from you guys.

Dont breed just for looks or to keep things pure.... Consider everything else as well... like health, dominance, size, athleticism, brains, and instincts. Feather quality, proportions, egg productions, flying skills, etc, etc.... Their attitude towards the opposite sex and chicks.

I am not afraid to cross breed different strains. In theory you have your whole life to experiment and try new things out. if you dont like them you can always sell (or eat them). Every year is a new opportunity to test new breeding pair. And compare offspring to previous years (if you keep older stock around like I do).

Great fowl werent created by keeping things the same.. its a continuous improvement process.

Dont ask too many questions either through text. I think that turns people off. Asking questions like breed or history may be too much to type.
I know at some point I just want to give them my address and have them come over. And I dont like them to pick out the birds. I like to have the stags and pullets ready to go.
