This is crazy weather

Was 15 yesterday. Snow and sleet this morning. Now it's about 40 degrees going up to 61 through the night. I'm sitting in a layout blind with the ice cracking all around me. Lol. Hopefully it holds for another hour.

Tonight will be worst of 2016-2017 winter season. Birds have been covered by freezing rain, temperatures dropping rapidly overnight to around freezing and wind will be strong. Wind chill will be around -15 F. Temperature and windchill not as extreme as will occur later but condition of feathering is bad. Several stags not dubbed will be.

My mom was stationed in Iceland when I was little/ I will never complain about a Missouri winter lol /

Iceland's climate is actually milder than what we get unless your mom was in mountains or back on NE side of island.

It's cold as hell and i have never felt wind in Missouri like I have when we lived there/ and I have never witnessed the same kind of snowfall in Missouri either, not nearly/ it ices more and it gets hotter here in Missouri so yeah Iceland might be milder in that aspect

What part of Iceland was she in? Did they have Icelandic chickens where she was?
