Yes thats them and pointed hackles and starts of saddles is pronounced in them.

By ten weeks i should see red in the hackles and shoulder i agree the combs a bit larger than the others but not red or as big as the stags. Mollted birds are really hard to tell and slow to mature so by 12weeks maybe we will see some saddle feathers starting. Ill keep an eye out on that one.

The 2 Cocks are a little over 1.5 years. 1 cockerel I'm saving this year as the third family breeder.

What about to suggest unlikely to work without bloodshed.

I chewed on it a bit today. Only an idiot would walk away from an opportunity like this.

Building some pens would not be an issue and I have room in the new sheep pasture.

The main issue I'm going to have is if they get out, they could fly over the pasture fence and go after the free range cocks. Hopefully, the only way they'ere gonna get out is when I'm messing with their pen and could get over and catch them before too much happens.

Also dubbing. I'll look around for someone who does it.

Fighting in the yard is no big deal as long as your home and it doesn't go on too long. The issue would be like shubin said is the others taunting the penned birds into wailing away on the wire. From what you've already said they'll be fine. I've had new hanpshires too and they can't even fly over a 4ft fence. No worries. I can dub them too depending on the age.

I missed the use of double boundaries / barriers. It appeared he was contemplating free-range keeping of both breeds. Can be done, but setup potentially messy. Fence or some other natural boundary that may or may not truly block movement needed plus acreage and well dispersed roosting sites needed.

Oh i get what ya mean now sdm They are my spangled mclean bull stag over. spangled butcher and a spangled mclean hen barrowed so i was told and hatched from my sfh. He was suppose to let me buy the pair but that didn't happen.

Now i do have a project batch thats 6weeks old that are not full game but havent posting those yet. Which is my spangled over german line of sfh.
