If the birds were solid color to begin with and blue is incorporated, inbreeding isn't necessary to get solid black birds back out. Blue x Blue should produce blue, black and splash. If you'll line-breed the select black pullets and stags from them it shouldn't take long and you'll have all of them coming black. You can go both ways, to the blue side and to the black.
