It was badass man, all they used was a wire mesh sheet, sheet on aluminum as cover and alum. Foil to cover pig.
Sounds good! He must have tried it before? It would take a little skill to get it just right.

A little bleach and vegetable oil will kill mosquito larvae in standing water. Not much help I guess though

They did it 4 times throughout the span of the project. The simplicity of the oven was what caught my eye.
2 layers of cinder block with hole for wood
Then the wire mesh, pig on top of the mesh
Then 2 more layers of cinderblock with the sheet metal covering the oven.

Mind you the cinder blocks are only layered on the perimeter to leave the center hollow.
Them pulled pork sandwiches were the best, but then again I'm also a fat*ss lol

A few drops of vegetable oil per square yard of water surface will kill mosquito larvae and other insects that breath air while in contact with the water surface. The treatment will not impact animals that do not come to surface for air.

That’s why I add the bleach.

Centra. I have some 300 gallon tanks connected to the downspouts on the chicken coops. There are some guppies in the tanks and water plants. Any suggestions for controlling algae that won't harm the fish or plants?
There are two types of algae based on growth form. The planktonic variety (phytoplankton) can be defeated by many combinations of reduced light, reduced nutrients and grazing by zooplankton or filter feeders. Light reduction be achieved by many may means and duckweed is very effective. Nutrient reduction can be realized by promoting macrophytes that soak up nutrients. You do not have to have complete reductions in some control to realize control. The attached filamentous algae is tougher to control as it is a very good competitor for nutrients and not many critters eat it. Shading can reduce and critters like algae eater can at least work on it enough to reduce it's growth rate.

I let the birds out a little after 6 this morning and was working out in the yard a little after 7. I hear the chickens and the crows making a fuss and suspected a hawk must be around so I walked back to the pens. The was a hawk standing on a nice little golden grey stag. The hawk left and then I noticed another little stag on the ground several feet away. There were no real marks on the stags except for bruising on the heads. I assume the stags were having it out and may have already been dead. The heat and humidity is pretty brutal this morning. Too bad, they were both nice stags...
