One reason I hate to move them is because they are doing so good in there. They come out once or twice a day to do their business, and return so nicely. The white one even takes a leisurely 5 minute dust bath each day. It's so cute! None of the others bother them at all. I dunno .... I am sure it would be best to move them now, instead of waiting. Don't you think?

Cindi .... did you see the almost pure white girls in that bunch of pictures? I think there are 3 of them.

Kathy...if it were me, I would at least move both broodies to a new place....you may have one try to steal the other babies or kill them but it beats the broody having to fight off a bunch of girls as opposed to just one?

OK, I'm gonna move the broodies tomorrow then. They are really gonna hate me when I take the babies away from them, aren't they? I am letting them incubate the Del eggs, because someone wants the chicks.

ummmm yes they will hate you. Why not do what Cyn does and keep them with the broody for 4 weeks or so? Broody raised babies are really good babies if the broody is a good girl.

Hey wanna call me sometime and we can rant about our idiot sons? LOL I already whined to Cyn two nights ago and it is not getting any better. I think I spoke to my father (who is dealing with idiot son on a daily basis) for a total of about 9 hours over 2.5 days

Yeah, I was thinkin it would be so cute to see the mama's with their chicks runnin around here too! Maybe I will just stick some eggs in the incubator for the ones that want chicks.

Oh yes, we can have a great time comparing notes on 25 year old sons!

This should crack you up Kathy....son says to me on the phone today...

"Well Mom unlike myself, you failed at everything didn't you? What did you accomplish in your life aside from having children?" OMG I almost lost it and replied with "Oh my wise son I don't know let's see shall we. I raised you by myself for 12 years, put myself through college and law school WHILE raising you alone, worked hard, paid my bills and yours, owned my own homes and you never went without anything you needed only some things you thought you wanted...you on the other hand who dropped out of college at 2 semesters,have not worked in 3 years and cannot pay attention much less pay your bills...tell me about my failures please ... enlighten me"

I got the familiar dial tone shortly thereafter. *sigh*

I truly understand why some mothers on this planet EAT their young at birth! My mother says "He is just going through a rough emotional time" my theory is that he should be thankful I am fifteen hours away or I would be showing him a bad emotional time. My DH has hidden the van keys the past two nights so I do not stew on it and get in the van, drive to Florida and snatch a knot in his butt
