Beth, I can just see her all totally upset of letting Dexter get away...but Hey I know where he is and Lori offered for me to stay a night with her on my way to Cyn's so I could still bring Dexter to her.

My weight is holding at 93lb...I should get some more pounds on soon...I am back in the gym so it will be good soon. I admit to this....I stole a pair of Cheyenne's jeans that she can no longer wear and wear them.

Has anyone ever caught anything at a show? Chickens wise I mean? Course I still need to get the NPIP testing and I have some bald girls so I have to wait. I suppose if you don't have chickens you might catch "chicken fever". Lord have mercy!

I bought some "No pick" stuff at the show $15.95 for a little bottle. Anyone use it? I sprayed it on the birds last night in the coop and nearly killed myself. There were no warnings on the label or anything. So I took the birds outside after the first bird and no a great deal better. Must wear a mask. No sense trying gloves as they will rip with the buggers. Make sure you wash your hands right away.

Had a friend who set his you know what on fire after the maillady sprayed his dog through the fence and got it on the gate. Hers was pepper spray and this stuff smells a little like it. In fact the kid who sold it to me said it was pepper spray. Though the stuff we used at the PO leaves an orange color and this was clear.

I'm not sure how often to apply this stuff cuz there were no instructions on the label. Seriously I nearly couldn't breathe. I'm surprised there were no instructions. I'll have to check the catalog. Eggcartons. com.

Tim, I have no experience with anything like that- the Blue Kot or whatever you call it worked for me, and doesn't do anything but turn ya purple. I suppose people at shows are careful, I am just a worrywort!

Funny how the weather moves from the west coast to the east, isn't it.... Germaine told me it was raining there (again) a couple days ago. Well, now it is here. Just an alert to all of you east of me .... MORE rain is on the way.

Yes I am wearing Cheyenne's size 14/16 jeans. You would be shocked if you saw how much I eat....I eat more than my husband and I eat bad stuff too...chocolate donuts, bagels and cream cheese, cheesecake etc etc. hahahahaha



rancher hicks I used the pine tar no pick lotion and blu-kote...I have never used that other stuff...the no pick lotion was strong enough to choke you.

Little cochin accidentially met Thor and Severus today...it did not go well. Thor just cocked his head and looked at her sitting in my lap, I told him to be a good boy and he stared at her and walked away...Severus came over and I have to take the back of my hand and shove him away, he came back so I shoved him away again...he flared his hackled and leapt over Cheyenne's knee and grabbed the baby by the neck feathers. I yelled NO and grabbed him and threw him about 4 feet away snatching baby up. She was fine just missing some baby fuzz and then Severus began attacking Cheyenne...not me but Cheyenne. I jumped between Cheyenne and Severus and handed the baby to her just as Thor came around the corner and took in the scene.

Now I have no idea what went through his rooster mind but what I think happened (because Thor hates fighting and breaks them up immediately) is Thor saw Severus bowed up facing me and he attacked. Thor jumped on Severus and pancaked him flat to the ground and commenced to beating the living crap out of Severus. I told Cheyenne to take baby and go inside the house right now. I started telling Thor it was okay and he was a good boy and leaning closer to the two boys. I had no idea what Thor would do if I intervened but he was on a mission to seriously hurt Severus so I said "Thor, my good boy it is okay" and I reached down to scoop him up. As soon as my hand touched Thor he immediately stopped and held still for me to pick him up and set him down a couple feet away. I grabbed Severus yelling BAD BOY and I chucked him like a underhand softball pitch as far away from me and Thor as I could get him. Thor was still hacked off and went running after Severus but when I called him he stopped and came back to me.

Sooooo since I was the one shoving Severus away and grabbing him off the baby...why did he choose to attack Cheyenne? The only thing I can figure out is that Severus is so low on the totem pole that he attacked the person he could intimidate. I think he somehow knows attacking me would be the last thing he ever did. So, Severus will be looking for a new home I do believe...if he attacks anyone before I can rehome him, it is the crockpot for him.

Very sad day but my Thor is such a good boy and I am so proud of him. He was not aggressive towards the baby at all and he came to my defense. Thor was unhurt because Severus was flat on the ground as flat as a pancake and he could not get any strikes in on Thor because Thor was standing on his shoulders and neck and trying to rip his head off. Bad boy...deserves what he got.

Did you get ahold of that publisher yet? It wouldn't even be considered a book of fiction, would it? Get that book started, gal! Next poll should be for the title of the book! "The Book of Thor!"

Sheeesh I cannot remember half the stuff that boy has done...LOL I would have to go back through this entire thread and the forums for the past year hahahaha but I was thinking "The Adventures of Thor ... a Rooster's Tale" hahahaha
