Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

They are now in the Firetower, the three of them alone. I did not want the Firetower occupied again by anyone on a permanent basis. Maybe I need to sell the Firetower now, complete with three laying hens.

They were in the old ladies' coop, but were torturing Nugget and Roosevelt. The only other companions they should have are Delawares, the bad things.

Beth, I bet they will still be okay. My broody Silkie was off her eggs overnight, in the middle of the winter, and still hatched 2 of 4. Remember the stinky rotten egg that exploded all over me .... from those 4.

Cyn, If you deliver, I will buy the Firetower-Delaware special you offer!

Gloria Jean, they aren't all like that. This bunch just got into a bad habit during a certain period and are continuing to pick at whatever rooster is in with them. They are sweet to us, though, to the point of being very annoying.

Kathy, you just need to get about five husky men down here to lift this thing onto a trailer.

See Kathy my plan sounds more and more appropriate. Come over here, spend the night, go to Cyns, get firetower and Dellies, come back, spend the night, drive home. And you can pick up anything else you think you need while in this area.

Kathy, the invitation spreads this way- go to Cetawin's then go to Cyn's, pick up the coop and Dellies, and swing over here and see how your kids are doing, THEN you can go home. . . .the Grand Tour.

BTW, I may have a sick Orp girl, if anyone want to hop over to the Disease, etc. section, and give me advice, I would appreciate it-sorry I have not figured out, in my computer illiteracy, how to put in links.

Cyn,
Exactly! I was laughing out loud and just could not be quiet while reading it (Family Dirt). Good thing I wasn't near anyone in the house sleeping, as I would have woke them up.

Beth,
I hope your Orp gets to feeling better. Wish I knew more about chicken conditions.

Beth and Cetawin,
I would love to come out that way, but I don't have enough time right now. Just going on a quick (one day) trip on July 16 - 17.

DH left this morning to go to Iowa and Nebraska to pick up 3 grandsons (ages 6, 6, 7). They will be here July 6 - 11. One will have his birthday while here, and I think we are taking them to Branson, MO to Silver Dollar City or the big water park down there to celebrate. It is only about 100 miles from our house. I am so excited to have them here each summer. They have all kinds of plans they have told me, which include hatching chicks, making quilts and pillows, fishing, boating, exploring the timber, and so forth. They about told me too late about hatching chicks. I stuck some eggs in the bator for them, and they are due on the last day of their stay. Now, you know you will all have to suffer through mountains of pictures from all this, so be forewarned.
