Oh man, thats terrible rustyswoman!

Adorable chicks, bio, catdaddy, and speckledhen. Those are just the cutest little buggers I've seen all week. Mine have turned dinosaur on me

Thank you Delgirl, that's just life. It is very frustrating though (and my fault for not securing it down better.) But sheesh 46 MPH winds came up out of nowhere!

So watch for it if you are east of me. I have family in Illinois and it usually gets to them 2 days later. Oh and it snowed yesterday. Same nasty wind, but snow. The poor chickens were out free ranging. I had to go lock them in from the weather and they were all hiding on the south side of the coop. It was 1/2 hour later before I could get them all to go in!

I am going through Delaware picture withdrawl. That's really why I posted! I miss having the babies here in the house.

biomistake...in that very first picture the little guy up front and left just has to be a roo. Look at that stance. He already looks like he's trying to protect everyone. LOL!

And Cynthia, I am going cross eyed trying to count all twenty. Where one fluff ball ends and another fluff ball starts is not easy to tell.

Ok, got my fix. Thanks

Rustyswoman,
That is rough about the dog kennel -I remember living up north. . . BRRRRR!!!! You have snow already???? Good luck keeping everyone in and warm!
I know what you mean about chic pics - I just drool. Can anyone convince Yardfull o rocks to post some of his?

Now I lay me down to sleep I pray the Lord my head to keep but if I die as a table bird may I be juicy tender flavor sweet.

I love those pictures .... that saying is so perfect for the photo. Thanks for sharing!

I am getting excited, I am on day 13 with my Delaware eggs from Cyn.

I just cleaned out my incubator from my last hatch (not for me, gifts for a friends son), and now you have me wishing my deli girls were laying. I just lost a Mottled Java yesterday, we think it was a hawk.

So Now I'm feeling a hole in my heart where a chicken should be. I have planned Mottled Java's to be my second breed...because of Spot, but maybe now I'll just stick with Dellies for a while.

Only thing that I see is that her legs are a little on the pale side... how old is she?

(OK Cyn... jump in any time...

When I got Cornelia, I was told she was a leghorn mix....by now I have figured out she's not. Does she look white rock or delaware or a mix or what? I thought she looked a lot like a delaware...

She just started laying last week. At first her legs were very yellow. Today she gave me a HUGE brown egg.

Wish I could hatch it... she has been bred by my Blue Polish. LOL.
