This is my favorite Peacock here at the Palace,my Black Shoulder Silver Pied male named Roadtrip. Not exactly impressive at this point but I will post a pic next of how much of this inside pen he takes up with a full-blooming train. He's getting very vocal as with some other males inside now.

Margaret, your two pictures are not of the same birds!

Here, you will see a hen on the left.
*The red arrow points to the solid brown-grey feathers she has on her wing.
The yellow arrow points to her distinctive white-edged breast feathers.
Also, the top of her head is brown.

Here are your two blackshoulder boys.
The yellow arrows point to their characteristic BS feathers that are black and white together on one feather.
None of their feathers are the solid brown-grey of hens.
Their heads are both white/light, not like the brown of the hen above.

I spent 2 hours with them I tell you it's the same 2 birds!

This is my IB B/S male that last year I first noticed white coming in his train. He will be five years old this spring and the white is getting more noticable but still very slow to completely cover the eye in white.I'm putting him in with three IB hens that all have white flights this year so hopefully we'll get some b/s males with stronger-faster white coming in.
