Eating veggies and fruits along with healthy proteins, in other words a well balanced diet is on most lists of things to do to protect against dementia.

I have to do those things because 23andme says I have a slightly increased risk of getting Alzheimer diseas after age 65


My father had it, his father had it, I'll just embrace the suck!
 
Thanks, I'm trying to make meals healthy, and it's not easy. Husband will eat anything, so that is a plus!

I'll admit, if the recipe calls for low fat something, I use the with fat version. lol

This is what we had for dinner.
Tamales, which I wrapped into tortillas. White corn.

And a helping of refried potatoes. Don't know how else to call these. Boiled potatoes, that were tossed onto a skillet, with some butter. Fried until turned slightly browned.:drool:drool:drool
