If you were closer than the 2092 miles, I would come hang out with you and convince you to use the Pizza stone AGAIN. :gig

By my name you know I'm from the STONE AGE... :gig
Here is a stone I made from Refractory Bricks. Use this in the grill to bake pizzas in summer. Works really great and since outdoors, house stays cool (home oven) . The coffee ground looking stuff is actually some corn meal that I sprinkled on as I was heating stone. Should have waited until ready to place pizza down. Just swept it off after baking was done.

I have plans for making another outdoor oven option this summer. When I do, will post it in Connies' Homemade VS Store-bought Thread. I will link it here as well. :)

The key to success is to make sure stone is well heated. I never encountered sticking like you did that one time. I always do drop some corn meal on the surface. It allows for easy sliding of pizza on and off.
I know you make some FANTASTIC baked breads. I'm still going to make that recipe you gave me of the French Bread. Just have not had a chance yet. I will be using the stone for crispy bottom.:thumbsup

:droolSome of the best homemade pizzas I've ever had have been BBQ'ed.

Looks like your kiddo did a good job! Did he enjoy making them?

We threw some flour at each other. The kid figured out he could make the dough fart and the youngest couldn't stop giggling and pretty soon we were all laughing like silly kids :lau so fun!

Aiden really likes to measure stuff so we used my kitchen scale to weigh the ingredients and he wrote careful notes in the cookbook for me so we have for next time. Thanks for asking :) I'm going to tell him you think he did a good job. He'll like that.:hugs

Sounds like a fun time was had by all! Any time kids have fun doing something, they'll want to do more of it.

Way to go Mom!
