It looks like our rain is going to be coming from the west and southwest today. Mostly SW. So far this week, our rain has been overnight or morning. Today is obviously different.

I just sold 75 dozen soaking wet cartons of eggs at the gate in the lightning.

I'm so happy its eggplant season! Does anybody else get excited over the purple alien plant? DD1 made a spicy eggplant linguine that is so freaking hot only DH & I can eat it (more for me! Yay! ) I made a garlicy baba ghanoush that I cant stay out of. Its giving me dragon breath, but its so worth it. Will post pics of the dip later.

Made a chocolate cake with a strawberry pastry cream filling and caramel icing topped with chocolate ganache and chocolate covered strawberries. Then I made fossil (peanut butter) cookies

I am SO moving into your house!!!! Best part is I know you'd let me bring my menagerie of animals.

Guess what I finally saw? I saw your movie! I actually liked the cat finding the needle in the haystack the best. Cute cartoon.

Our eggplant had already come and gone. it's a favorite in our house though
