Pouring rain again today. The fly strike is happening to the goats and pigs. It's when the fly's start eating the animals ears. Turning them into open wounds and bleeding flesh. The pigs have it the worst. 10 times a day I spray their ears with hydrogen peroxide. Our largest sow is lame. I've injected 8cc's of Ivermectin, she is on a course of injected penicillin and receiving banomine daily to ease her discomfort. She did eat something last night, after 4 days of nothing but nutridrench in a syringe.
We broke the cardinal rule of only treating sickness if it is present by worming our entire stock just to be safe. It is a nasty disgusting mess.

I just cant justify clicking the LIKE BUTTON. on primates. Most of them scare me if I ever encountered one in the wild. A chimp is 7 times as strong as me. Would be tossing me around like a rag doll. Just give me a LOBO and I will pet him....

I wish I was a dog in this household,,,,,, or just a worker , working for food.
Only thing I wish skipped from those meatballs are the egg shells.

Making some broth for the doggies. Got a bakers dozen worth of meals for both dogs prepped too. These are raw beef patties with veggies and whole eggs including the shells. Two meals per bag, one per dog, vac sealed and washed bags in soapy water before freezing.

Why wash the bags?
Is that onion? I never knew until I saw a poster at the vet that onion and its cousin garlic (you know? Garlic like we were told to use to prevent fleas) is poison to dogs. I still give Sturgis both if it’s in whatever I’m sharing.

not quire meat loaf but kinda egg, bacon, sausage and biscuits casserole
forgot the cheese mozzarella possible cheddar in there also

No onion but I do feed raw garlic to dogs and chickens with no issues. There's crook neck and zucchini squash, kale, carrots, green beans, whole eggs and hamburger in there.

I wash the bags because when they are vacuumed it sucks liquid to the edges and there was raw meat and egg juice in the flap after sealing. Don't want that in my freezer or fridge
I'm super careful about cleanliness, the dogs eat this raw not cooked.

Dehydratring some raw beef liver for them now. I give it as a treat once a day and they LOVE it.
