Hello all my fellow "Yum-Tonians here at Yum-topia!".
Well well well, our plans went to _____. Oh well.
Maybe smoke Tacos tonite if Grouchy hits the store before returning.
Had an unopened bag of Romaine Hearts that went bad early. Probably could have trimmed them up and cut off the rot but why? Once a portion of it goes south, it won't be as fresh and crispy throughout.. if that makes any sense. Besides, piggies need piggy snacks.

So plan B was as followed-
Cockerel Parts coated in homemade blackening seasoning, seared over oak and hickory hardwoods-

Look at the logs in there baby! Woot!
DSCN6923.JPG
Sweet Potato make me go go yum yum-
DSCN6925.JPG
After thin slice and a quick blanching- said egg washing with eggs whipped up with Tabasco-
DSCN6926.JPG
Then once they are all sticky-wicky with spicy egg glue- VIRGO BREAD CRUMBS!
Roll roll roll the spuds, gently with a spoon- merrily merrily merrily, you'll be yumming soon... SING IT WITH ME!
DSCN6927.JPG
If you are offended by the sight of a deep fryer loaded with fresh peanut oil, I suggest you skip this next photograph.
DSCN6928.JPG
And while you are waiting for your spuddy concoction to cook to a beautiful golden brown, You really should dice up a crunchy and juicy red onion to top your "soon to be yum".

It appears you have decided to view the conclusion of my post if you are reading this message.
:wee

Time to uncover and select a couple pieces of the Chicken which was resting, fresh of the grille.
DSCN6929.JPG
Not pictured at the beginning of this post, a hefty scoop of preheated left over baked beans/veinna mini sausages with green peppers-
DSCN6932.JPG
A big scoop of sweet potato chips-
DSCN6933.JPG
Throw it all together and it was a simple creature comfort dish of a classic southern bbq.
DSCN6931.JPG
Not pictured- Sweet Baby Ray sauce for the bird and Horse radish sauce for the chips.

"And in the end, THE YUM YOU TAKE-
is equal to the YUM.... you MAKE".
