SHOW OFF YOUR YUM! Food Photography Thread

I have a friend that is ready to pass away. We are trying to laugh while we can. His favorite prank was to send me a tube of anchovy paste, and a toothbrush for my birthday. The paste has become a recommended ingredient in all of our cooking.
A few days ago, we got it into our heads that a cupcake or doughnut filled with anchovy paste would be the ultimate joke on someone. He might actually pull off the doughnut. I’m still trying to figure out who I can do the cupcake to.

So if any of us receive a bakery box in the mail from BC, we should be forewarned!

P.S. Sorry about your friend but the attitude is wonderful.

Hey, @N F C, may I have your address? I want to send you a little gift for all the kindness you’ve shown.

I'm slightly confused:idunno:confused:
How the heck do you make pecans from BUTTER:th
Does butter grow on trees:old

Hahaha! That's way too funny! I agree but that is what its called. You make pecan butter by grinding pecans to a paste. You can also make other nut butters by grinding other nuts to a paste. That's understandable, but when it comes to "dairy free cheese" that's way too crazy!!! I mean it doesn't even make sense!

Several months ago I discovered there is such a thing as "dairy free cheese"!!! I asked somebody how it could be cheese if it didn't have dairy in it. I didn't get any answers! Pretty darn funny I think!!! :gig:gig:gig

Goodnight, @Claires Poultry! I hope you Stick around, and show us your yum!

It’s 11:05, go to bed, woman!

Oh my! That's hilarious! I know I should but but but umm I can't. Its way too early right now for me. I can't stand going to bed early! First of all I work late into the night and into early morning and second of all I can hardly force myself to go to sleep early even if I want to. Some nights I don't even go to bed, you know there isn't always time for sleeping.

Also I'm 1 hour behind your time so its not quite as late here where I am as it is where you are.

I consider going to bed at 12:30 going to bed early. Most nights I go to bed at 1:00 or 2:00 in the morning. That's normal for me. During canning season going to bed at 4:00 or 5:00 in the morning is early for me. Don't get much sleep during canning season, don't even go to bed a lot of nights.
We grow 2 acres of vegetable garden every year and also can a bunch of other things from other places. It takes a lot of work and time. Produce rots faster than you can keep up with it so you got to stay on top of things even if you got to stay up all night.

It says in the bible in Proverbs don't love sleep lest you come to poverty.

I guess I better go figure out what I'm going to make for breakfast now. I like to make it the night before so it's ready in the morning.

Aren’t you in ND? It was after eleven.
I agree with not getting to bed when canning. It’s a long process. I’m just glad I don’t have to use the stove in the basement.
