have a roast beast out to thaw still debating what the heck to do morning all

Since BC mentioned those anchovies,,, I have been craving them. This is the closest I could come. Sardines in Hot Sauce. Origin from Canada. So here was lunch.

A bowl of grass Garden fresh tomatoes. (California Garden)
Fresh cucumbers, topped with Thousand Island dressing

For dinner Made a pot of Chili Mac.

Warmed up some Burrito flour tortillas, and filled with it. Topped wit some shredded cheese.

Had to place fork on top to keep it nice looking for pix
Right side plate contains some rice, fried potatoes, toms, and a few chunks of turkey breast.

“Most Americans don’t know why today is celebrated.”
Well, my veteran husband can’t tell you the month of Memorial Day, Veterans Day, or Labor Day. He only knows the Fourth of July (and today ) because they are easy to remember. He doesn’t know the meaning of any of them.
So eat Mexican food today, and enjoy. If you know why you are doing it, congratulations.

Except the sardines reminded me of my dad. He only ate the smoked (aka stinky) ones when we were on long car drives.

last two times we did garlic toast it has been cut bread add allot of garlic butter large amounts put under broiler

Yep, lots of garlic is a must!

We have a garlic spread we buy at Costco add butter like to it early so it gets to sit a bit
but darn it is good
