Sick chick or frizzled gene?

I ordered BCM’s from a seller on ebay, this one is rather small and I can’t tell if hes sick or frizzled.
I thought he was sick at first but then I thought his feathers grow so differently from the others I began to wonder if its a frizzled gene. Do BCM’s even have a hidden frizzle gene?

Hello, I have an update, the chick must have been a failure to thrive chick but its now the same size as the others and all its feather have come in, in fact I don’t even know which one it was anymore.
I do know that I have 3 roos and a hen tho lol

The bigger one was my favorite..... so of course he was a male. I found him a home with a friend. When I went back to visit, he ran up to me.

The little one was once a failure to thrive. With a bit of TLC she made it. She started laying a couple weeks ago.

That doesn’t look right... do the other chicks pick on her? did you check for mites?
