Sick or normal?

My girl has a white spot that is next to her ear and above her waddle. It looks like it’s the same skin as the waddle and comb but I haven’t been able to find anything on it to make sure it’s normal. I’m unsure of the breed. She’s been acting fine but I’m just worried it’s something more serious than a silly little quirk.

Are you describing her ear? The white area is her earlobe. How does it look on the other side? Different breeds may have different color ear lobes. Here is a picture showing the anatomy:

I just rescued a chicken with the same big white spot, so I was wondering the same thing. Mine has it on both side so I think it’s just a chicken with a white earlobe because none of my other girls have white earlobes so it’s strange to me.

Both sides are the exact same. I just haven’t been able to find anything on white lobes or anything like that.

Does she lay white eggs? In most birds, the color of the ear lobes is the color of the egg shells, with some exceptions.

Those are her ear lobes, she will lay white eggs. Is she a Leghorn?
