My silkies weighed about 1.5 pounds. Is your rooster about 2 pounds? I would probably give 0.1 ml orally 3 times a day for 5 days. You can get a 1 ml syringe for giving babies medicines at a pharmacy. They give one free ususally at Walmart pharmacies.

I would prefer to inject him into his skin. How much would the dosage be for the tylan 200?

It is a very tiny dose. If you give 0.1 ml that would be 20 mg. The safe dosage range for Tylan is 10 to 40 mg given 3 times a day. If you can give 0.06 ml with a 1 ml syringe, that would deliver 12 mg.

Good to hear. He still might have had a virus which could make him a carrier for up to a year. That is better than having MG which makes them carriers for life.
