Silky hatch-along and OdoBan on eggs experiment

@TwoCrows always has a way to make sense of things we scratch our heads over. 🥰 As I was typing transcription I kept thinking about this, then it struck me that both Nature Right and Brinsea are probably multi-million-dollar companies and wouldn't be where they are today if they didn't make quality products. Plus, what you said Tink about Brinsea showing it done both ways.

This never bothered me in the past, but I always had them turning every couple of hours and they hatch fine. It makes sense if they're turning maybe not such a big deal, but when stuck in place for three days, maybe it does.

So, I "fiddled" with them and got all 18 leaning upward slightly now. I figure if any were starting to stick at all to a side, the little 1/4 turn they all got won't hurt either. :D

Fabulous Debbie! My problem is I think too much along with trying to make everything perfect. I drive myself nuts all the time. 🤣 I want to believe that eggs laying on their sides do just as well as those that are tilted a bit, but I can't get past it that in nature, momma keeps them tilted a bit. At least she tries too. Many times chicks that hatch with bent necks, funky toes, even crossbeaks, stem from being malpositioned inside the egg. And as long as the chick knows which direction is up and where the air cell is, it's less likely to have deformities, will use their space wisely and not hatch from the wrong end. I am sure these incubator manufacturers would tell me I'm worrying too much but that's what I do. 🤣

Cocoa Puffs

 sorry but I couldn't help it, I was looking up the colors of the cuckoo and buffs and silkies are so puffy... next thing I know a cereal commercial is running through my head :gig
Now that you mention it, some cereals would make great names!

Fruit Loops
Wheaties
Raisin Bran
Cheerios
Lucky Charms
Frosted Mini-Wheats
Trix

Just to name a few. Hubby buys those kiddy cereals at the Bent & Dent store (Amish)

Kellogg's, Nesquik...just a few more names
