Silky hatch-along and OdoBan on eggs experiment

Pics
Hope you are getting a pair of the EX models... That was my choice but I'm upping my stakes with one that has 120 eggs and one that has 60. Set 40 eggs per week and hatch 40 eggs per week. Both will incubate and hatch but with the combo the 120 egg model never gets dirty as the dirty work is all in the 60 egg model being used as a hatcher.....
I currently have an Advance model, when I got it in November I contemplated incubating in it and hatching in another, preferably EX model. But now I'm doing bigger hatches instead of smaller so...

I would love 2 56 EX models, but I don't think I can justify them at the moment 🤣

Buy him a new leather riding jacket? (Motorcycle) :gig
That might work 🤣 I actually ended up trading one of my bikes that I didn't ride much for an older bike that is gorgeous, and as we were heading home he was lamenting on how I bought his dream bike... I'm thinking I'm going to give it to him for his bday this year, he's going to be so excited! We share everything, he already is the one who rides this bike, my hands aren't strong enough to pull the clutch, but he still respects it as my bike, if it was his he would add fishtail exhaust and a few other stylistic things. That might be the right time to slip the new incubator in 🤣

👍 Sounds like perfect timing to me! 😁

Some years ago I spent a lot of time photographing custom paint jobs on bikes. Whole bike would be air brushed to be a snake skin.... very fine detail. Maybe a new paint job would be tradable for a really nice set of cabinet incubator/hatchers... :)

The one nice thing I found that I really like is partitioned hatching trays so than when mixed breeds of eggs are in the incubator then in the hatcher they can be sorted by breed before hatching starts.
I bet that'd be really handy when you're hatching even two different breeds when the chicks look nearly identical.

In the NR360 no way to separate them so I'm using mesh bags at lockdown. I'm DNA testing a few of these and want to keep the eggshell and chick together until I can put kiddy marker colors on their heads and the egg.

This pick shows a bunch of eggs, but I'll just have 1 in each. They stretch out way more than they show. I will most likely be standing right there so can get them out of that as soon as they dry.

What kind of trays do you use? I'm going to do that for this next hatch, I purchased plastic canvas and I'm going to cut dividers and zip tie them together. I figured with plastic I can sterilize it and re-use them.

I started penciling in my breeding pens for July, a lot all can change still as I don't know who all my girls are or what cockerel is going to mature into the best birds, but I may end up with 6 or 7 different pairings, which actually sounds like a really bad idea 🤣 two or three sounds more manageable.
