Silky hatch-along and OdoBan on eggs experiment

Pics
I've devised a method to test turn on start and delay turn for 3 days. 28 uniform eggs from same pen of hens that always hatch well to start. 2 identical incubators for 3 days. 14 eggs in each and after three days move the 14 eggs that are not turning into the one that has the turner going. Even the one that doesn't turn will have the eggs standing pointed side down in a rack. Eggs are all stored in a rack ready to drop in the incubator and press the start button when ready. lt is an interesting concept of delaying the turning. I think it should also be tested at two days also. Might as well go full OCD on them. It's been awhile back I saw inside of a major hatchery and I believe that their storage eggs not incubating where already turning in the racks.

Your incubating sounds like a fun project and you have so many of everything, a better opportunity to test and have substantiated results!

So, what are my chances on selling my hubby on the idea that I need to buy a second Brinsea 56 so I can run some side by side egg hatching experiments, for the sake of knowledge and helping you all of course!

Hope you are getting a pair of the EX models... That was my choice but I'm upping my stakes with one that has 120 eggs and one that has 60. Set 40 eggs per week and hatch 40 eggs per week. Both will incubate and hatch but with the combo the 120 egg model never gets dirty as the dirty work is all in the 60 egg model being used as a hatcher.....
