Silky hatch-along and OdoBan on eggs experiment

Pics
I had thought real seriously about using 50 Rhode Island White hens with RIR Roosters to raise sex links from but have decided that is nothing I want to be involved in. I'd rather raise Barred Rocks for the longevity they are known for.
Someday I'd like to try some heritage BRs, I have some hatchery ones and they are a bit hit and miss on health and laying. They sure are pretty though.

I'd like to create a silkie looking barred rock. That would look really cool. There are so many things that silkie genes could modify the pet chicken world with.

I've got my incubator on an UPS unit and hoping for the best. I'm hoping for a good silkie hatch as well as at least a few of my White Giant X Cornish Cross hens. Biggest worry tonight is that the power will go off and I will not be up to switch the UPS to a new one if needed.
Goodnight silkie fans.

Tornado Watch. The eggs in the incubator have had a wild ride already.... We will pass on the tornado.
Hang on little eggies!

The breeder Debbie292d got her buff eggs from has cuckoo, I can't remember if that's the breeder that has black, blue, and working on chocolate cuckoo, mayne it was someone else. But that might help you get a jump start on some silkied BR?

Good morning eggies! 🥚 Time to get your grow on, Tubie let's go!

That would be nice.

:celebrateGood morning little eggies! Hope all are safe and warm!
Y'all stay safe out there, that's some messy weather all the way from the Mississippi river to the east coast!
It's rattled my windows most of the night after midnight. Now I'm getting anxious for all of Debbie's little eggs and #22 just must pull through.
