Silverudd or Mille Defluer / a rooster showdown

I couldn't get pictures at the optimal time. They are not in the sun. However, I got a few good pictures. You can see a little of the Isbar's colors. The darker frizzle is the Millie Defluer. If he can mate her I would love to see what babies from the flower hen would look like. Also, he is by far the sweetest. Maybe only because he is too small to try and peck my eye?? Alas though; the Isbar is definatly top bird.. He is sweet. He likes to perch on my shoulder and only tries to eat my eyes occasionally... Lol silly bird

Mostly these are for me. My chickens are companions that happen to lay eggs. I just made sure to get quality birds so I could find homes for cockerels more easily. Right now it is a I may at some point hatch some of my eggs at some point thing. I am by no means a serious breeder right now. I just want cockerels that I can find homes for more easily.

Some, such as myself, are just in it for the joy of chicken.. I have alot more to do before I would ever consider myself a breeder.

I'm not saying you have to be a breeder. I'm just saying that if you're evaluating who to breed you need some idea of what you are going for.

Producing pets or pretty and variable offspring are examples of that.

If you're looking for the most variation in the color of the offspring, use the mille fleur Cochin.
