Keep a close ear, if you hear the hen do the warning cry, hoof it out thereGreeting porchers!
I was making some chicken broth today and noticed something “meaty” fly by my window and perch in a nearby tree.
Yep..it was a hawk that has discovered my ladies!. I saw him a couple of weeks ago on the camera dive bomb toward the coop and abort once he realized that there is black coated HC!! Score one for the girls! It looked like he bounced off the wire but likely was able to make a swift turn and not get his clock cleaned.
well I think he’s trying to figure out another entry. Only way he’s getting into they run is if he chews through the 1/2” HC. Not happening!
they are beautiful creatures, but not when hunting my girls.
thought I would share. Hope you’re having a nice day.
Well….I guess not best choice of warm beverageWow, @Frankiegirl! Thank goodness for HC, huh? I'm glad everyone is ok.
Except for the chicken in the chicken broth...
I bet,,,, hahaha,,, you could use just a plain O`l cake pan, and cut it in squaresI have all the cake ingredients, but I don't own a bundt pan... looks so good though. Might have to bookmark that. I add spices to almost everything![]()
The browns are beautiful but the whites still have my heart. The Brows have such great color, My 2 tiny Red Leghorns, I spoil. I let them cuddle together in a nesting box to sleep at night. when I go out to open the coop I'll try and get a pic of them.
