well,
for a week I have been only getting 2 maybe 3 eggs. When I went out to open the coop door at 5am, I saw a splat! egg on the coop floor that had ?kind of a shell / soft shell- either way, I think they are not doing as well as I thought. I bought a bag of

More calcium is a great idea. Tums work too. I put oyster shell out at all times for them to take as they like. I also crush and cook egg shells for them. Mine actually like them. Shrimp shells as well.

I had a bag of "real" crushed oyster shell my husband 😘🥰 helped and pick some up at the feed store for me 3 years ago,[ I didnt tell him it was the wrong kind] - last year I tilled it into the dirt of the coop run.

The last hiney washing was January. The hens really needed one. They had big clumps of dried poo. I put all the hens in the coop and shut the door, then took one out at a time. this time I washed them outside instead of the kitchen sink. Ziva loves to watch the chickens sitting with her head through the fence. All 4 hens got washed. One went right in and sat in her box mad 🤣😡, but they all are fine, 🤣🤣
