I want to get a cordless handheld vacuum to get the dust and cobwebs out of the coop and off the hardware cloth in the run. Does anyone do this?
Ventilator, goggles, leaf Blower and a follow-up shower.

Edit: OMGosh, I said ventilator. I meant RESPIRATOR! Good gracious. Well.... I knew what I meant. 😉
I have a couple of these respirators for my glasswork. I now keep one in the cook for cleaning the roost trays and the dusty coop.

Garden hose with wide, strong spray in the run/pen (the flooring is sand and dries very quickly), while the girls are in the yard, free-ranging

Yes, it truly is.

Is he unwilling or rather not satisfied with the physical and speech therapy?
Sometimes the willingness to seriously engage and participate longterm and the progress made also depends on the therapists one has to work with. At least that is what I witnessed with my DH.

After the second serious stroke he refused to go to stroke rehab again (after the first he spend there almost 8 weeks in addition to the weeks at the hospital) so we did the exercises and speech therapy at home and invented a few of our own to add some variety and entertainment.

Of course, the bouts of anger and frustration arise every so often as many men define themselves and their self worth through their physical strength, manual skills and abilities.

But declining strength and skills also come with age and we all will have to accept and adapt to it some way or other

His speech is not affected.

His lft arm and leg are affected.

I can not get him to do any exercises.

I have bought him several items tp exercise his left hand with , but he will not use them.

LOST MY GLASSES in the garden,,,
I have gone over everything and every step- looked even in the fridge and trash----DH looked, they are here somewhere, but I cant find them
got the corn and green beans pulled up and some onions, pulled the wagon to the porch,, talked to DD#4 on the phone,,, it started raining, ,, raked up the garden bed , pulled up the fence posts that healed up the pea and green bean trellis up, raked some more----and it and noticed I didnt have my glasses?????????
hauled it all the vegetation down to the compost looked all through it, no glasses.

I will find them some day

He is lucky not to have his speech affected.

With DH it was gone both times and took a very long time to come back and still is quite slurry.
Severe stroke #1 affected his right side leg, arm, face etc, and severe stroke #2 his left side leg, arm, face etc. He could not even eat or drink without aspirating and choking. It was really scary and left him frustrated.
But we worked on it every day and he is much better now, although there were days he was fed up and did not want to continue therapy anymore.
We bought a rowing machine for him to get some strength back and he liked using it.

Some days are better than others.
