We had a cucumber get away from us, too big and too old. So chicken food.

I did make the eggs, we tested them yesterday,, they are good!

Your coop is immaculate. So impressive.

Thank you, I do wish it was better, I did spend time in there last evening. I swept the sand off the base board and sprayed

this clove/cinnamon based spray on the roost and all of the base boards, I crawled down and got under the nesting boxes swept. I did not dust down the walls, I'll do that next month when I do my yearly clean the coop day. The sand is great that it is clean and does not mold or have bugs but boy does it give out the dust.

Good Morning
Coffees good this morning,
Here comes big dog Tony,, he comes and puts his huge head in my lap, I wipe his eyes , then go get is bed and lay it next to the desk, and he goes back to sleep.

Well, I got all the cabbage picked yesterday. It was quite disappointing, i waited as long as I could for the heads to get big but if I waited longer they would have rotted. But I am thankful for what I have, the chickens are happy with all the big tough outer leaves, hahah​

Today I need to reset the soaker hoses, use the hand plow to clean up the area, dig up some red fingerling potatoes that came up from last years missed roots. Feed the tomato plants, kale, beets, go down and pick squash, water the blue berry and elder berry plants and check on the apples. Water the lavender beds, I dont want to deal with the compost today,,,,,, AND thats just the outside chores,
I'll set some beef out to thaw for dinner, feed the sour dough. I want at least 8 quarts of spiced red cabbage to can so I'll need at least 3 more so I am going to have to buy them.

Maybe I'll skip gardening and go to my favorite market????????????
Lets go get more coffee

Its not a lot of parsnips and green beans, I may just freeze them BUT, I dont know what freezing the parsnips will do to them??

Is he still recovering, meaning do you still see some progress after all these years?

Not as much recovery as I feel he could have had.

As he says he "IS A MOUNTAIN MAN" and this makes him angry that he can't do what he used to do.

It is very sad to watch.

I did not dust down the walls,

I want to get a cordless handheld vacuum to get the dust and cobwebs out of the coop and off the hardware cloth in the run. Does anyone do this?
