The egg shells are a good way to recycle one of our throw aways.

Temperature is in the 70s.

I have fed my chickens egg shells (crushed), and peeled the membrane off the interior of the egg shell.

What is the purpose of peeling the membrane? I've heard some people do, but it's not mentioned by most.

I can only peel it off if they don't sit for too long. Gotta wash and peel while everything is still damp from being freshly cracked open.

They crush up much easier and smaller.

Yup, I noticed that. And they feel... drier, I think. I was wondering if there was another reason.

Rolling along!!

Feed the dogs,
filled all the humming bird feeders
Made a pitcher of sweet tea with mint
Get a pork roast in the oven and a pot of beans in the pressure cooker I made black eyed peas
cook up some rice,
laundry going and hung
dishes done
the watering done,
wash rugs, clean bathrooms
vacuumed

MAKING Cornbread muffins

Well we had supper at 1:30pm,,, DH is out washing the car, I cleaned up the kitchen and,,,, am feeling very sleepy.
I guess there is no rule that I cant have a nap
I think,
clean out the ash from the wood stoves
go through the house with the duster
wash window---------------
Will all be here tomorrow.
I think I am done for the day.
