I'm also counting down to the Solstice. The days start getting longer, the chickens start thinking about laying eggs again, and I won't feel so hemmed in by the darkness. By around February first, it'll be light until 6 pm.

Yes! I’m always looking forward to increasing light! This year without chickens we’re snow birding. First time ever!

Monday- I went out to the coop with Frontline flea stuff for X-large dogs

I put 2 to 3 drops between each hens shoulder blades. I only used the difference between pic above and below- As of this morning everyone is doing fine I didnt kill them. I will check for moving mites on Sunday night.
