Skinned quail, what can i do for him??

Here's an update on him. He's covered with bluekote.

Some is still a little raw but he is responding well to the treatment and acts like a happy quail, scratching, eating, drinking, and doing the male quail call.

Sorry to jump in so late in the game, but for a similar skinning injury on a chicken neck/head, after irrigating to get it as clean as possible, I keep it covered with triple antibiotic ointment. Keeps dirt out, while keeping the wound moist; reapply 2x daily. I know folks love their Vet spray, but just something else to consider! Glad he's doing better

We don't have one that's safe for animals. And unfortunately you can't bandage that kinda injury.

Triple antibiotic ointment for people is safe for animals, like Neosporin, just make sure it's WITHOUT pain reliever. And I never said to bandage it... Good luck!
