It's a HAPPY day here since Nutmeg, the smallest and most picked-on of our five silkies laid the first egg! She was chatting away this morning looking for the perfect place in the coop and I knew something was up. I walked away to tend to the garden, came back and ta-da, a beautiful egg. A few hours later, another egg appeared in the mulch, by the side of the house. Someone else must have gotten the idea! [IMG] So, two eggs so far from my five silkies who are 5 months and 3 days old today!
Here they are the day the arrived...[IMG]
    and here is the EGG!
and here is nutmeg, the one who laid the FIRST egg
    So ends our EGG-citing day!!!![IMG]

Thanks! We love our girls, especially since egg#3 appeared today! I have to say - I noticed her Squatting first when I reached down to pet her and she was the first. Two of the others are squatting too which I think must be the three eggs so hang in there, especially if your girls do the "duck" when you reach for them. [IMG]

I pray everyone and their animals get through this storm safe! [IMG]
