Your welcome. I don't know why that other link didn't work. It looks to me like ya just roll or wad a bunch of it up and hang it. I'm going to just try hanging it right off the outside of the run itself down low.

AAAAANNNNNDDDDDD once again I have to say

"I will not complain about the Northern Michigan Snow again. I will not complain about the Northern Michigan Snow again. I will not complain about the Northern Michigan Snow again. I will not complain about the Northern Michigan Snow again."

I am sosoooooo glad we dont have to deal with those things. We have an occasional gardner snake too small to eat eggs or chicks. They just eat lots of bugs and occasional frogs or toads.
We have weasles and mink and racoons and opossums coyotes bobcat, and black bear (bear dont bother chickens, might like chicken feed though). Thank the lord no snakes like that yuuuukkkkk now I feel creepy crawly all over. geesh

No it doesn't hang from a pole. You lay it on the ground, like a tube. The outside layer has to be seperate from the rest. The outside should be loose, with a twisted inside. I make metal rings about 8 inches across out of wire. Install every 2 feet,or so. It helps it keep a tube shape

I need me one of those. If you make another one you should give step by step instructions with pictures included. LOL

I believe the one on the pole must have been to keep snakes from climbing to a bird house. My coop is off the ground, so I could probably put some around the blocks they must climb to try to get in. I caught one last week accidentally in 1" chick wire, chain link and an electric fence, it sure was tangled up.
