Snakes!

I seem to be having some problems with rat snakes getting into my coop and stealing eggs. I have tried a variety of plants that are supposed to discourage them to no avail. Has anyone ever tried a minnow trap and if they did how did it work?

Plants and herbs won't work, as you found out.
Are your nest boxes off the floor?

They are....the last one I snatched out had claimed up the side and was creeping across the top, the one before has his tail in the bottom box and the rest of him in the upper box, chilling while he digested an egg
