Hi, All.

This morning, Stella, a 16-month old silver appleyard duck, was making a sound somewhat like sneezing. She has been in good health with no other issues. It rained heavily last night, but nothing else was out of the ordinary. This evening, she was still doing it periodically, but she continued foraging and was as active and interested in food as usual.

Here is a video of her from this evening:

At around 0:11, you can hear the "sneeze," and you can see at around 0:25 she regurgitates some green matter.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

We've had a ton of rain here lately in Central Texas. Our runner and Pekin males started cough-sneezing just after the first deluge. But, they were only doing it in the morning. By the time they were up and running, it was rare. It persisted while the rain was heaviest, but once the rain let up, it went away. This rain lasted for about a week.

I didn't do anything except bump up the grapes, lettuce and tomatoes and make sure there was a ton of fresh water around their crumble when they were eating. I was cleaning out their drinking containers several times a day.

I haven't heard anything for the last couple of days. I am just hoping that the extra TLC and fresh treats have helped.

They may like rain, but it isn't always kind.

I think the spitting up is from gorging on that grass and the clean up crew plus Stella got that cleaned up pretty fast. It could be mold spores from something she is getting into or dusty feed or dust period or pollen hard to know I'd def get the VetRX and have on hand and maybe try ACV in their drinking buckets for a few days 1-2 Tabs to a gal of water. She looks great and eating and drinking is always a plus. Mine will do the sneeze cough thing when gorging on meal worms or scratch grains they eat so fast.

Do you have vet Rx on hand? Mine do sneeze like from time to time. If you do have it, warm it up and put a little on your finger and rub it to your thumb and wipe it just below their nares. It is kinda like what us humans do with Vicks vapor rub when we are stuffed.
Thanks! I do have some Vet Rx. How do I warm it?

Thanks. It's been hot and dry, and I had to use crumble for a few days. Maybe the combination of things. I'll look for source of mold too and try the ACV. Thank you!
