This guy seems to know nothing about breeding peafowl can't tell one color from another. It kind of strange his camera is acting up so he could not send a picture of the blue male split peach. I have been raising peafowl for years and never seen a split bird show a color it was split to. Now he has a blue hen split peach on eggbid when breeding sex link colors ( peach cameo and purple ) only the males can be split the hens are the color they are. He said breeding it to the split male will produce 3/4 peach chicks that is wrong. You can breed a blue male split peach to any hen and get peach chicks they will be all hens and you will do good if you half are peach color. He should be banned from selling on eggbid

I don't think complaining to eggbid will do any good, unfortunately. I don't know what is going on, but they don't seem to be doing anything about the problems? There was a full out war between a few sellers, some posting ads not to buy from the other, it was getting really ugly. Folks complained to eggbid, nothing was done. And now, numerous sellers are saying to add 2 or 3% if you pay with paypal, which is against paypal rules (and possibly illegal). eggbid isn't doing anything about that, either. If anything, you would think that they would shut down the ads for eggbid.net that have been showing up? It's like they gave up on the site... Just let it run wild and collect the money. I dunno... About all that you can do would be to post an ad warning other folks, but be aware that the seller will probably give you a million negative feedbacks in return and eggbid won't do anything about it.

I am so sorry! Not only for you getting cheated and dispected but also for you having to deal with the poor hen dying at your home. Poor hen, she must have had a sad life.

I would get my money then report him to a higher authority. That way maybe you can stop these por birds having to suffer. My neighbor has peacocks and they are just such gorgeous animals!

Yep, Fully agree there, I saw those idiots fighting it out all summer, very childish, the one from N.Y. took me the year before, screwed me over and left me a negative as retaliation?? Also as a seller on there this year, I always paid once a month, but they never once credited my account. I carried a balance on there for 5 or 6 moths before they finally tallied it up??? They just dont care....


Never heard of the 2-3% add on for paypal being illegal or against their rules?? I think seeing how they are charging me for it, there should be nothing wrong with me recooping the expense for allowing my customers the convenience of using it, other wise, why not just make them mail it in right? I am not required to use it, it's just nice especially for birds and eggs. I dont personally charge for it, just saying here...dont see why it should be a bad thing. I mean shipping is an expense, and we recoop for it....

In my post I wrote eggbid dot net (had the dot there, didn't write it out) and it turned into backyard chickens? Don't know how that happened!

In the legal agreement for paypal:
4.5 No Surcharges. You agree that you will not impose a surcharge or any other fee for accepting PayPal as a payment method. You may charge a handling fee in connection with the sale of goods or services, as long as the handling fee does not operate as a surcharge and is not higher than the handling fee you charge for non-PayPal transactions.

The same goes for credit cards... they charge the merchant a percentage, but the merchant can't charge the customers the extra (at least with most cards). However, the merchant can give a discount if you use cash (including checks).

The war on eggbid was a definite turn-off to me, the result of which was I wouldn't want to buy from any of them. Didn't sound like folks that I would want to do business with.
