So mad I could Spit !!!! ( bad bird dealer)

Ummm... WOW!

I look at feedback before I buy anything, some feedback I take with a grain of salt because I know that some folks are impossible to please. But when I see a seller posting feedback like that, I move on. It shows that they aren't somebody that I would want to deal with! Thank you guys for posting about that, now I know who it is. And Chickenzoo, good job keeping your replys professional!

yeah, he is the same guy. His comments don't bother me, if he meant something to me like you guys do then it would, but he is nothing but a nasty person. Thanks for your concern.

Next time anyone goes back to a bird dealer who $crewed them, take a guy in a suit and tie with you, or do what I do, and say that since you can't solve this, I need a police officer, and whip out your cell phone. That usually changes their tune right away. Make sure you take the police station's phone number with you. I love changing someone's tune with a smile on my face and ammunition behind my back!

Chickenzoo, whom I know, is a fair "work it out" type person. Not a complainer. Has a big heart with sick birds and will do anything she can to recover them. I can't stand to see anyone like her be taken advantage of her.

And another thing:
he offerd free shipping but required COD when the bird arrives. That is not free shipping, that is signing up for an unspecified amount of shipping which could be anything!!!

I wondered about the cod thing myself, but it could be that instead of paying him directly, you pay that amount when the shipment arrives and he collects the money from the shipper.

Anyone have any experience with eggbid dot net? Because eggbid dot com has really gone downhill... Use to be if you reported something, they did something about it. From what I understand, the owners of the dot com site have full time jobs and 'didn't have time to monitor every listing'. I can understand that, but now they don't do anything even if you report things. Last time I saw them do something was when a seller wrote in the listing 'don't bid, just contact me'. I reported it, they thanked me and took the listing off. The way things are now, I wouldn't even bother reporting it. If the dot net site is any good, maybe we should all just flock over there?

Just did a seach here on the dot net site and did find a short post about it: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=252611 But I am curious... every time you try to put an actual dot there, it turns it into backyardchickens.com and I have no idea why! It did it to me before, and to the poster of this message. Are the two related in any way? It was a turn-off to me that they have the same name, and that it was advertised on the 'competition' site... Maybe we should just ask eggbid.com to allow some of us to be moderators, then they take recommendations from us to kick some members? Don't know how widespread the problems are, but the peafowl section gets pretty ugly at times!

Well, I did go to Eggbid and read that, and it was pretty ugly.

This seems very strange to me. If you buy something on Ebay you can leave feedback, but I don't think that you could leave personally vindictive feedback.

And, on the Eggbid site, you apparently can leave feedback whether you have bought anything or not. In fact, I clicked on the 'leave feedback' button, and it would have accepted my feedback apparently, and I have never even logged on there.

I really think that this is a golden opportunity for someone. Someone needs to start a decent auction site like ebay, only for poultry.

Now that I see how Eggbid works, I would never buy or sell anything on there. Of course, this forum is available, but it does seem to me that if anyone wanted to start a site that is strictly an auction site for poultry that there is a need.

Now, here, I just got some hatching eggs (chicken) and I was treated wonderfully, and I cannot figure out how to leave the feedback--totally positive, believe me. So as soon as I figure it out, I WILL leave it.

I am so sorry that you were treated that way, and I am sorry for the birds.

BTW, I got some Peas from Peachick in Md, and they were exceptionally nice birds.

Hey Steve, I was wondering if this was the same guy me and you were talking about this summer! Looks like it was. He was always fighting with the NY guy that screwed me over, they both have about 5-6 user names. I thought the FL guy may have been in the right against the NY guy, but looks like they are both crooks and just tangled up with each other. The childish nature of their eggbid postings against each others shows boths characters

I'd bet money on it, I know there can't be that may MORONS in that part of FL selling peafowl and leaving 8 1/2 yr old neg feedback on folks, well maybe an 8 yr old would have more since and write stuff like that.
Steve
