You need to remember that whatever you do is the right thing. This is a decision you and your dog make together. Never feel guilty and don't second guess yourself.

Hold him in your arms while he passes. A dog can't ask for a more caring owner.
 
A friend once said "You need to set aside what YOU want for a minute and think about what the DOG wants - to not be in pain."

It's hard for us, but it'll be better for your pup to die calmly than just waste away from his ordeal. I'm happy you've changed the way you see dogs, and took such good care of one for the rest of his life.

You gave him the perfect forever home.
