Friday night went to the ER for fluids and anti-nausea meds. can't stop the nausea, and my low back hurts like crazy. Saturday sent me into a tailspin, barely made it through DD's family Bday party from the awful smell of bbq.

They put me on steroids, different anti-nausea, More anti-nausea, and I'm doing my best to meditate. don't know what else to do. Called my boss and told her I won't be back until it's over.

Only 5 more treatments to go!

ETA- Luna I am INDEED on both chemo and radiation. Chemo is supposed to be LOW dose. Feels like High dose to me!

spent some time outside working on the run for the chickens yesterday. Forgot to wear sunscreen. Burnt my face! 'Doh!

Sorry you are having a bad go of it Nurse. Smells were one of the things that would set me off as well. Even now a few things do it, litterbox and peanut butter

Just the smell of both make me wanna

My doc gave me Phenegrin (sp?) it worked a bit, made me more sleepy than anything. They make it in suppository form too in case you can't keeps it down. They wanted to give me Compazine but my mom was allergic to it so they didn't want to risk it.

Get as may fluids in you as you can.

I can't tolerate compazine or phenergan in IV form, so they won't let me have it by mouth. My pity complaint is nothing sits right in my stomach! I just want a little food but it feels like rocks.

I am sorry you are have a difficult time. I hope it is making the cancer sicker than you.

Be Sure to let them know if the radiation starts to burn your skin as well. Maybe they can make the radiation days separate from the chemo days.

Nurse - try natural ginger from the health food store. I like the candy ones, just suck on them as needed - I brought a bunch of them with me where ever I went just in case, but never needed them. I hope you get a handle on that nausea and feel better real soon.

Take care of yourself - like 3goodeggs said be careful with that sun and don't go getting cuts and stuff on your hands.....be careful!
