Sold my first dozen of eggs today!

$3/doz is very reasonable! Our healthfood store sells them for $5.50/doz (and they are the owner's chickens) OUCH! Also, when I looked at the eggs 4 of them were tiny pullet eggs. Cute, but not gonna fill my belly... and for $5.50... $3 is a bargain!!!

Wish I could get to that point.

We are eating the small eggs...takes about 6 to make scrambled eggs for the two of us.

I have given away quite a few to neighbors, family and friends. Could not sell these...would feel too guilty. Currently getting small ones from 2 EE's, a BO, 2 BR and 1 SLW.

With 22 chickens you should be producing quite a lot pretty soon. I have 10, and only the RSLs (4) have started laying so far. My eggs are all pullet size, too, so I won't be trying to sell any just yet.

$3/dozen is the going rate in the small town I live in - not sure how many live here but somewhere around 5,000. The state capital (50,000) is not far away though - you could proably get more there if you had somehwere to sell them.
