I posted a few weeks back about one of my hens producing all double and triple yolk eggs - we hadn't had one since. Thought I jinxed myself! hehe!
Today I found this monster in the nesting box. OUCH! My sister in law said someone needed an epidural for that!
We haven't cracked it yet, our 11 year old son asked us to save it for him for breakfast tomorrow morning, he wants to cook it himself. He loves the fresh eggs!! I'll update tomorrow afternoon on what it was - double or triple... or maybe just a big FAT single!
In the pic, I have it next to a new colored pencil and a regular LARGE egg. In the other, you can see how much bigger it is in the carton - I couldn't close the lid so it had to come back out. hehe!!! I measured the monster and it was 3.5 inches.
