Nope. The Heys original has a deep red tongue (not pink) and the face on the Heys original has no nose at all; the copy that's on amazon has a red clown nose. Heys orignial's black eyes are surrounded by light blue; the amazon copy's eyes are surrounded by white. Also there's a thin black line at each corner of the mouth on the Heys original; copy mouth has no lines.

Thank you, thank you, for joining the treasure hunt in this kind way. Much obliged.

Hi everyone!

It's been a busy day-ordering topsoil for tomorrow-yes, in the rain it's going to be a heck of a job hauling it, but I need to get my seedlings into my new vegetable planters, so I guess I'll just suck it up and do it.

I've also been attempting to plan the party for my youngest sons First Holy Communion on May 18. We're doing the party the next day since the Communion Mass is 5pm Saturday, and since everyone lives in Queens it's too far for them to drive at night and stay later for the party. Me and the Manager of Carmody's have played phone tag for a week...and I'm not sleeping over this-it must be planned, done, and out of my way. I have to get his suit cleaned-this will be the suits 3rd Communion, it looks ok, but I swear there's cake on it from 5 years ago. (ew)

I also need to rake and trim up my front lawn, (It's not really "Lawn" it's moss, but it's GREEN!). It's loads of work, we still have some broken bushes from the Blizzard that need to be taken down and done away with.

My front porch needs painting, but since it's going to be raining (and I'll be hauling mud) that will have to wait until next week...or the week after that...or maybe next year?

We are set to leave for upstate on the friday of Memorial day for the Irish Festival in East Durham, so I also need to pack the camper with clean clothes, sheets and towels. I keep tons of food out there, but I'll also need more, so that means I have to do bulk food shopping.

I need a nap. In the sun. In Bora Bora. Alone. Maybe with my chickens.

This one is in ny http://www.ebay.com/itm/BACK-TO-SCHOOL-CUTIES-PALS-KIDS-BOY-GIRL-CARRY-ON-LUGGAGE-BACKPACK-BEE-/230975386234?pt=Luggage&hash=item35c734b27a

If not let me know when you need them by and I MIGHT be traveling to canada and MIGHT be able to help. I say might, because It is not set in stone at all, just kind of an idea right now. Not Ontario though. Also I picked up cute pair of bumble bee boots for my daughter . They are clearance right now at Kohls. I paid $3.99 .
Hmmmm. I posted my plea on the Heys International Facebook page (told ya I was trying everything I could think of) and after the latest exchange went like this:

Carolyn Hecht
Ok let me ask you to follow this up by advising me how that would work out. Let's say a New York friend of mine does indeed travel to Canada, and then goes online while there and buys the bee toddler luggage set and has it shipped to her at the Canadian address where she is staying for her Canadian trip. What is the best, most cost effective way for her to then get the set into New York? I'm sure that there are several perfectly lawful ways to handle this, but I don't know what they are. What is the procedure for bringing it into the USA? I do not travel internationally and have no idea about what needs to be done. She would be bringing it to New York as a gift to me, so would there be customs, taxes, import fees, or what? THANK YOU.

Hi Carolyn,
Thank you for your reply! your friend can either purchase the product on our online website or locate a retailer and purchase the product directly from the store. As for the customs, taxes, import fees, etc. you would need to check with the Airline she is flying with to inquire if they have any fees. Kindly keep in mind that all Airlines have different rules and regulations.
Thank you!

So I'm guessing if the package simply fit inside a suitcase or was counted as a carryon (it IS within carryon size limits), then there wouldn't even be an airline extra luggage fee.

Anyhoo... there's someone in Canada who saw the Facebook posting that I put up and she's looking into it. Who knows how this will all turn out. Dum dee dum dum.

Heads up all you gorgeous, helpful people. One of you hit a home run and sent me a pm with a link to a site that not only had the very thing I've been chasing (and that you all have been helping me to chase) but they had it at an excellent price and I ordered it and it will be here in a week. FANTASTIC !!!!

I shan't name names, as the angel sent me the link in a pm, so I'm assuming she'd prefer to remain hidden. But here's the link she sent. And ain't life grand. Honestly. Thanks to you all.

So I was having a great day, I actually built a nest box all by myself (I know silly but I am not handy). Anyways all was well. I let the new girls out for the first time then rotated to let the other girls out. My husband was changing his oil in the driveway. I had a nice conversation with the neighbor about the eggs over the fence. I see an older man walk up the driveway and stop to talk to my husband. I figured it was a neighbor I didn't know. Only to find out he is with the town and was called because we had chickens. What bothers me is that someone didn't just stop and ask or just check the law. We are allowed to have as many hens as we please in my town. So the man says hello to me and I ask if he needs to go see them etc...he says no that its perfectly legal and we have a fence plus coops , He also informed me that I could have a rooster as long as it doesn't disturb the peace by being too loud. That was news to me, because I had been told we could have hens but no roosters. Another fellow chicken lady in a different part of town told me that I could have a rooster too, but I had thought she was mistaken. Anyways...I feel like this is what happens when you share with people. I don't know who called, but I recently gave three neighbors eggs and the girls have been here for almost a year now.

Talk about ruining my day.

That's too bad. I'm not one of the ladies but just getting going with my 6 and with the possibility of neighbors ruining my new found hobby ticks me off. I'm glad it worked out for you though. Out of curiosity, what town are you in? I am in Selden, which is part of the ever loved Brookhaven township and I like the prospects of more than 6.
On another note...got my 3 1/2 - 4 week olds in the run today stretching out before the rain comes. Must be a funny sight, 6'3" male sitting on a milk crate in the run reading a book watching his chickens...there's a visual

Nothing better than a man and his chicks!

I live in the Town of Huntington and we have a limit of 8. After you get started and the neighbors get used to the idea, who knows? Some random chickens may find their way into your yard.

That's what happened to me. I started with 4, then got up to 14, then down to 9 then back up to 14, etc. etc. No matter how many you have, it always works out to be the Town limit.

Chicken math. I have a degree in it...

I, too, love the idea of a fellow enjoying a good read in the pen with his chickens surrounding him!

CheekyChick, it sounds like you've got a lot on your plate, but mostly fun family thing with the communion party and the trip upstate for the festival. I'm hoping thst you have a greast time!

What a gorgeous day today is! I walked my dog 2 miles, and I'm about to bring some apple cores, carrot stubs, and lemon rinds out to The Bawkettes.

PS-- Today is Day 18 for my hatching eggs incubating. No pips as of this morning. Gosh, I am really hoping to bring home these baby chicks by Friday! (They are being hatched in a school class hatch project ) We're setting up the brooder box this evening. I've never raised, nor even held, a baby chick before, and I've never seen a bantam chick (or adult) before. My fiance's the super-experienced one. I'm so excited!

I feel for you, I am trying to get my daughter christened at the end of this month, and its been such a juggle with the restaurants locally. Everything is closed near the church (jersey) since it is sunday and they observe blue laws...alcohol in house is hard to come by as well, and we wanted to do a brunch etc..anyways..its just been a nightmare. If my house wasn't already up in arms with a renovation about to be started I would just say frig it and do it at home. I am stuck on 'favors' to use and centerpieces. It doesn't help that the day before I am hosting an engagement party for sixty and spent a ton of energy on that . My sister though so :)

I am really quite frustrated by this whole outlawing chickens...what did they ever do? I would think Dogs or cats or any other house pet has caused more harm. I am going to start taking some kind of action with writing letters and gathering information. I am ticked off by this one person busting my bubble of chicken happyness. Not like it causes me pain....but no one should have to worry that their well treated and cared for pet can be taken away. I mean we allow monkeys to live in apartments and we cant let people have some chickens in their yards in peace ?
Oh I just found a gentleman on here to get some new girls from at the sussex fair :) I will be up to 18.

Every single day I find another reason to hate Crookhaven. I dream of moving to Riverhead town, where I could have a farm. Not gonna happen, but it's nice to dream.

I got my little BCM outside with the silkies for awhile-she's started sticking up for herself now so it's funny to watch her flap her wings and silkies fly everywhere. My husband sits outside with the chickens sometimes, with his study books and a beer. Like he's on a date.
