I see you are in orange county, i am in sussex county near port jervis. Let me know. Also, the spring Sussex county poultry show is in may, you can get chicks there too.

Hi Jersey, thanks for the reply. I tried to send you a PM but I kept on getting error message so I'm not sure if you got it. I am really having a hard time finding someone to split a chick order with me. If you could add 2 to your order for me I would really appreciate it. Please let me know. You can try to send me a PM if you would like so we don't tie up this thread. Thanks.
Chris

So sorry to hear about your losing your Orloff. We are in the process with one of our RIRs who is egg bound.. Nothing has worked and I am praying for the best and preparing for the worst. Sigh. On a better note, my daughter candled a few of the eggs in the incubator and is very excited by what she saw. Omg, how does anyone wait 21 days??

Sorry one of your girls is sick. I send good thoughts your way that she pulls through.
It is very exciting having eggs inthe incubator. It's more exciting than waiting for the temperature to get above 50 and staying there....good luck

So desperate for spring, I am sitting on the back deck, drinking my coffee, in short sleeves... It is 38 degrees after all, that is practically a heat wave.

I'm outside in my t shirt too, thermometer days 50 degrees here and I'm happy as a clam. Feels like spring is just around the corner :)

We're going to have to keep checking on each others progress with them. My friend Loretta was already sent her regular potatoes. I think that they should have held on to them a little longer. I got my onion plants (candy reds) from Burpee yesterday I wish they would have held on to them for a few weeks. I don't want to get into warming the beds up with black plastic then covering them with hoops just so I can get them in the ground.if I didn't have the girls I would think of doing that but I have just too much work as it is. The smallest amount you could buy were two bunches;150 plants . What the heck am I going to do with 150 plants.I'll need to rent space.

Enjoy the up coming warm weather .
