I had a Polish hen named "Dinner" who began to lay on Christmas Eve way back when....and she laid an egg nearly every day for almost a couple of months. She was my favorite bird and thought she was a dog I believe. She wouldn't even hang out with the other birds and roosted in my garage up in the rafters by herself rather than the rest of the flock. Likely because I hand raised her. Polish birds are very interesting and quirky.
