Good morning all; A lot of reading to do. Went up to visit with my family on Sat. 2+ hours up. We had a BBQ at Round Pond ; a place on West Point. I grew up going there every week end growing up. Rained part of the day Thankfully we had a covered pavilion .I injured my arm pretty badly when I fell playing kickball with the kids.I rounded them up and took them to go play ball 'cause Icouldn't stand listening to their parents yell at them anymore. I drove back the same night. went to the ER on Sunday morning at 7:00 'cause I couldn't move it.It isn't broken. They said possible rotator cuff (would rather have it broken. I am icing it for now to see if it gets better.
I so love having my son home. he heads back Wed.
Sorry if this typing is a mess I'm still getting use to thisipad.

ACK! I had rotator cuff surgery in February and I'm still not healed. SUX! Hope it's just a sprain/pull and icing will help.

What a pain trying to clean up the girls as a one armed lefty. can't figure out witch one but one of the MASS polish is making weird crowing noises. He'sonly~8weeks

Oh boy we are hatching out this morning!

Went outside to bring my 3 broody girls treats as they didn't come off their nests at all yesterday. Today is hatch day!
So far I see 2 babies out of their shells peeping loud and clear.....and hoping for 3 more if the eggs were good.

Happy day!
All are pure marans so I am excited to see what colors I get out of these.

One so far is light and 1 dark.

New babies!! Yay!

I went to agway and got a new waterer for the run. I had one of the plastic ones, but it was terrible. Got a shiny new steel one. And a couple of bird feeders for the wild birds.

Gotta go to get some seed.

Waiting to hear if that kid's mom is going to take my hen/rooster combo package!

OKay....we're up to 4 and maybe 1 more left under the 3rd broody peeping/hatching. This is better than christmas!

Wow it's hard to incorporate the 3 different
batches of chicks together. It's like they form
3 different gangs, they stay with their group and
every once in a while total kayos erupts.

I have 3 ohikis for free in Chatham- two roos and a hen. I can't keep them because I have too many over the city limit.

every once in a while total kayos erupts.

I've actually had better success having 1 new hen adapt at a time rather than putting together 2 or more into an established flock. They just otherwise stay with their buddy and travel in little packs as your experiencing.
